Supporting a young entrepreneur: William Alexander Toys

Most of what we write about here is publishing, education and AI advice. This post is about something closer to home.
William Alexander Toys and William Alexander Studio are run by William, the son of our founder Ioannis Syrigos, together with his dad, from Timolin in Co. Kildare, Ireland. We are proud to support them, and we wanted to explain how.
What William does
William Alexander Toys is William's toy business. Alongside it, William Alexander Studio does 3D printing using two methods: resin printing, which suits fine detail, and FDM printing, which builds objects layer by layer from plastic filament and suits larger or sturdier pieces.
The ideas, the curiosity and much of the energy come from William. Ioannis works alongside him, helping with the parts of running a business that take time to learn.
How Stella Novus helps
Stella Novus does not run William's businesses. Our role is to give a young entrepreneur the kind of support that is hard to find when you are starting out. In practice, that means sharing what we have learned from running our own companies:
how to set up a website and keep it running
how to write about a product clearly and honestly
how to look after customers and their details properly
how to keep simple, accurate records
how to think things through before spending money
It also means being patient. Starting a business involves trying things, getting some of them wrong and trying again. We think that is one of the most valuable parts of it.
A family business finalist
In 2026, William Alexander & Partners was named a finalist for Innovative Family Business of the Year (Leinster) at the Family Business Awards. We were delighted for William. It was a welcome recognition of the effort he has put in, and of what a family can build by working on something together.
Why it matters to us
We believe small, independent businesses can do good, careful work. Encouraging the next generation to make things, sell them fairly and learn from their customers feels like a natural part of that.
We do not know exactly where William's ventures will lead, and that is part of the point. For now, we are glad to be in his corner, offering help when it is useful and stepping back when it is not.
